Job Skills / Requirements
The Billings Specialist is responsible for invoicing customers in a timely manner and helping to maintain 3rd party vendor websites.
Primary Responsibilities of Billing Specialist:
- Submit invoices to customer portals and 3rd party websites
- Follow up and track submissions
- Maintain online accounts with 3rd party vendor websites
- Navigate multiple customer billing websites
- Maintain numerous excel spreadsheets tracking websites, customers, and invoices
- Initiate contact with customers using telephone, e-mail and/or websites to secure payment information and resolve any issues preventing payment.
- Coordinate with internal company departments to resolve problems preventing payment by ordering necessary documents and/or information for customers.
- Maintain complete punctual, accurate and organized records of account activity via system notes, e-mails and memorandums. Retain documentation until the issue is resolved.
- Communicate with agents, providing detailed information, such as paperwork and/or customer specific requirements, which is needed to resolve the non-payment issue.
- Manage a large volume of email traffic
- Request and retrieve missing paperwork
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements of Billing Specialist:
- Ability to read and understand invoices
- Associates Degree preferred but not required.
- Related experience/training is preferred.
- Strong experience with computers including Excel is required.
Compensation is hourly based on experience
