Per Sé Group is working with a leading local commercial general contractor in Des Moines looking to hire a Construction Estimator. The ideal candidate has ground-up commercial construction estimating experience on projects of $10M
Responsibilities
- Ability to lead the estimating process of ground-up commercial construction projects from start to finish
- Collaborate with PMs, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to create accurate cost estimates
- Manage the timeline and schedule of all bid documents
- Analyze blueprints and other documents
- Quantity takeoffs
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits
- Work closely with the Preconstruction VP to develop and grow the estimating department
- Mentor and support junior estimating staff
- 6-8 years of commercial construction estimating experience
- 2 years of management experience
- Sage Estimating software experience preferred
- BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar preferred
