Project Engineer

Summary

Per Se Group is looking for a Project Engineer to join our team. This role would help support several commercial real estate projects in New York.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of detailed project budgets and estimates, including quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and subcontractor data.
• Collaborate with the business development team on RFP/RFQ responses and proposal packages.
• Help craft compelling technical narratives and support presentations that highlight project strategy, innovation, and value.
• Track construction schedules and support field teams with issue resolution and logistics planning.
• Monitor budget performance, assist with change order review, and track cost exposure throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred Skills and Expertise?

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in commercial construction, with pre-construction and estimating exposure. Proficient with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating) and project management tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing roles and proposal writing.
• Detail-oriented and analytical, with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.

The pay range for this role is $42-48/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
