POSITION TITLE: Manager, Product Management, Compliance, and Accessibility
Location: Remote
Reports To: Director, Instructional Design and Development
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Per Scholas is seeking a Manager of Product Management, Compliance, and Accessibility to become a national Product Development team member. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented, and problem-solving individual with strong organization, technical writing, content development and management skills, an ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment, and a strong sense of accountability. This role is responsible for ensuring all curricula meet compliance, licensing, and accessibility standards. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders - including instructional design, compliance, HR, recruitment and admissions, marketing, technical instruction, and professional development teams - to maintain up-to-date, accessible, and well-documented learning materials and licensing resources. The ideal candidate will have multi-jurisdictional experience working with state licensing boards, federal regulations, and will play a key role in ensuring compliance with ADA requirements and other regulatory standards in education.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Curriculum & Product Management:
- Assist the Director of Instructional Design and Development with product (curriculum) management, oversight, and project workflows.
- Define and track key success metrics and KPIs to measure progress toward accessibility objectives.
- Collaborate with the product development team, the instructional team, and other stakeholders to create, implement, and revise curriculum materials that meet accessibility and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive licensing package for each curriculum, including change notes, syllabus, lesson planner, rubrics, technology details, equipment details, and resource documentation.
- Track and document curriculum updates similarly to software patch notes, ensuring transparency in versioning and instructional changes.
Compliance & Accessibility Oversight:
- Working closely with the Compliance Licensing team, ensure all curricula align with regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions, industry standards, and institutional policies.
- Verify that all curricula and learning materials comply with ADA standards and other accessibility guidelines.
- Identify and address curriculum pacing concerns to accommodate ADA learners.
- Develop guides on enabling accessibility features in learning materials,learning management systems and curriculum and assessment delivery and instruction.
- Work with IT and procurement to address accessibility-related equipment needs, ensuring compliance with ADA guidelines regarding student technology access.
Training & Support:
- Provide training for curriculum developers, instructors, and LMS (Canvas) administrators on accessibility, compliance, and best practices for curriculum development and delivery.
- Develop resources and guides for instructors in recording lectures on Zoom, leveraging AI-generated notes, summaries, and closed captioning.
- Offer ongoing support and professional development to ensure staff remain up to date on compliance and accessibility requirements.
Process Improvement & Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with Product Quality and Experience experts to maintain ongoing oversight of training materials to ensure the quality and accuracy of the curriculum.
- Perform initial quality checks for all content development.
- Contribute to fine-tuning our content development process as we scale.
- Complete special projects and requests as opportunities arise.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO US:
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of work experience related to education, and/or training operations.
- At least one year of experience in creating VPATs and expertise in Section 508 standards and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Compliance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience working with ADA learners and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
- Strong background in curriculum management, instructional design, and compliance documentation.
- Demonstrable experience working within regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas) and accessibility tools.
- Experience coordinating with multiple departments to align curricula with institutional and compliance needs.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with one or more e-learning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 365, iSpring, Camtasia, etc.
- Exceptional verbal and writing skills.
- Familiarity with Instructional design methods such as ADDIE.
- Knowledge of Bloom's Taxonomy or other educational models.
- Proficient with Google Workspace.
- Experience working on concurrent priority projects while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal, communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take ownership over tasks and meet short and long-term deliverables.
- A passion for continuous improvement and keeping current on the latest trends in learning.
- Willingness to adapt to evolving compliance and accessibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a bootcamp type of environment designing, developing and managing curriculum.
- Experienced teaching and/or coaching adult learners.
- Operations or product management experience.
- Work experience in at least one information technology domain.
- Experience creating diagrams, workflows, and wireframing.

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary range of $65,000 - $70,000 where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.
