Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a proven executive for the role of Director of Business Development to lead growth across the Fourth Estate agencies . This role is primarily focused on the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), with some limited support for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of success in identifying and winning new business and in leading business development teams in capturing targeted programs in the Fourth Estate markets. It is important for the candidate to have experience building a robust, targeted pipeline of opportunities that will drive growth and ensure that goals are met. Critical skill sets include strong strategic planning abilities and an unrelenting focus on winning business, with a record of "big" wins with the above customers. It is also important that the candidate is well connected with current customer key personnel, and has established relationships within DoD Fourth Estate community.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and leverage resources to create, identify, develop, and qualify opportunities.
- Achieve growth goals through winning new business, securing contract recompetes, and driving organic program growth.
- Develop and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities in alignment and consistent with corporate strategy and goals.
- Primary interface with customer community, building customer relationships through effective communications, with both internal and external customer bases.
- Develop and execute strategies to "shape" requirements and acquisition strategies.
- Identify and target new business markets, adjacencies, and partnerships.
- Embrace the Peraton Business Acquisition Process in daily activities, and effectively communicate all the opportunities and plans for management and technical teams.
- Assist in guiding potential customers by demonstrating technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early-stage opportunities, working with internal technical and program management teams to develop responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), market surveys, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations.
