Cyber Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

We are hiring an IT Person with our cybersecurity team in locations, Langley AFB, Scott AFB or Hanscom AFB.

What you'll do:

• Responsible for maintenance and operation of patching services utilizing multiple platforms and tools.
• Ensure that patch activities for servers and workstations are compliant for enterprise systems.
• Design, support, maintenance, and distribution of patching packages tailored for maximum successful implementation and minimization of issues across affected systems.
• Responsible for the support of integration, installation, testing, evaluation, documentation and verification activities of end-to-end patching systems and applications through their entire life cycle.
• Execution and refinement of installation processes and development of step by step procedures both for patching team use and which can be passed on to customers.
• Support of testing procedures and documentation in support of and in preparation for distribution across global enterprise production environment.
• Develop standards, practices, and test procedures to verify system requirements and verification of operability.
• Verify system documentation against the actual execution of procedures and reports inconsistencies back to department lead for corrections.
• Participation in design reviews to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
• Create and execute procedures to verify and validate enhancement and defect fixes to the system.
• Follows and refines testing practices, policies, and procedures to best optimize the overall system verification process.
• Security process continual improvement collaboration, documentation, review, and management
• Review of system vulnerability and STIG reports for compliance management
• Security process tracking, documentation, and periodic recurring report management
• Risk Management Framework required documentation support
• eMASS package support to include Plan of Action and Milestones management
• Other security department and leadership project support

Qualifications

5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD, 9 years of applicable expeirence in lieu of degree acceptable.

What you'll need:

• CompTIA Security or comparable
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
• IT experience 4 years
• Experience with task coordination and management
• Preferred but not required: BS Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or solid IA background

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
