Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking Director of Digital Transformation to support the Technology & Engineering Mission Portfolio team. The ideal candidate will have demonstratable success of leading and developing new Digital Transformation application modernization/Agile DevSecOps capabilities or service offerings for emerging transformation technologies within multicloud environments – along with proven success supporting customer application transformations. This role will support customer opportunities and engagements including pre-sales pursuit/capture efforts, customer advisory/consulting along with the development of Digital Transformation technical solutions, proposals and white papers - providing thought leadership in the development of new Peraton Digital Transformation capabilities or offerings. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with experience supporting $100M captures/proposals.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and support selling, solutioning, and delivery of Digital Transformation projects consisting of Application Transformation and modernization to Cloud and quality reviews of transformation solutions
- Shape and direct proposals describing the Peraton solution and the associated value proposition around Digital Transformation, Application Transformation, Modernization, Apps to Cloud, Agile/DevSecOps and Apps Development/Testing
- Strong understanding of Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Microsoft, Google) services and approaches of transforming applications to the cloud
- Serve as customer Subject Matter Expert (SME) and adviser on as-is and/or to-be technical environments to architect overall strategy for overall transformation/modernization strategy and roadmap
- Experience continuously updating and maintaining knowledge of emerging Digital Transformation technologies successful technology innovations
- Lead the development of new capabilities or service offerings within AI-enabled Application Modernizations/Transformations to Cloud Architectures (e.g. using DevSecOps pipelines, Microservices, Containers, etc..) with an as a Services (XaaS) approach
- Ability to communicate technical solution concepts through the development of white papers, responses to requests for information, engagement with communities of practice, and technical proposals
- Be a thought leader with experience continuously updating and maintaining knowledge of emerging application technologies and their supported, successful technology stack integrations
- Review RFPs to ensure pursuit teams addressed requirements and incorporated win themes, created, developed, designed, and distributed draft response documents for assigned sections, and responsible for all edits, finalizing and coordinating delivery of assigned proposal sections.
- Proven track record for the timely delivery of winning proposals and solutions on pursuits more than $100M
- Provide technical leadership to engagements and develop detailed technical solution content and estimates
Qualifications
Required
- Requires 16 years with BS or 14 years with MS in a computer science or related field.
- 10 years of application and Cloud solution architecture experience, especially in transformation to cloud.
- Deep knowledge and experience in Agile DevSecOps including methods, tools and approaches (e.g. SAFe).
- Experience developing new application modernization capabilities leveraging tools to assess application code.
- Knowledge and experience developing customer Digital Transformation strategies and roadmaps specific to migrating workloads/applications to the cloud
- Technical proposal development experience
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
- Secret security clearance
Desired
- Top Secret security clearance and above or preferred.
- Professional Certifications (e.g. SAFe, AWS, Microsoft, RedHat, Oracle, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in Cloud Security Services, ATO and Zero Trust architects.
- Code transformation experience with AI tools.

Target Salary Range
$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.EEO
