We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our high performing team. This position is onsite at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ and will require occasional travel.
What You'll Do :
- Serve as a motion control engineer utilizing Elmo motion controllers and motor drives to perform coordinated moves on 20 muti-Axis motor system.
- Use resolvers, encoders, prox sensors and feedback systems to precisely control the position of servo motors and other electro-mechanical devices.
- Support power and / or signal electronics development on 600V system.
- Design, service and build electrical boxes and cabling capable of supporting control system signals and 600V power.
- Tune and control three phase motors. Assist with selection and recommendation of various gearbox ratios. Also understand and be capable of working with DC / AC servo motors.
- Be involved in the research and development of robotic and automation devices.
- Work in office environment and hands on assembly, integration, testing in laboratory.
- Design / build and program custom electronics capable of handling extreme shock, vibration and temperature to meet military specifications.
