Job Description
As a Technical Writer at Peraton, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3. This position is located onsite in Ft. Liberty, North Carolina.
The purpose of the SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order is to provide operations and maintenance services to maintain network operations, systems, and network infrastructure. You will work closely with subject-matter experts to elicit detailed information and develop technical documents.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Documenting application specifications, design, features, and operation
- Writing and editing user manuals, help systems, and other technical documents
- Assisting in writing stored procedures and triggers for database development
- Designing and formatting documents using document-creation software
- Interviewing developers and reviewing documentation and diagrams
Qualifications:
- High School level plus some specialized training; Minimum of 5 years
- A DoD Top Secret clearance or higher is required
- Technical writers must be adept in document creation using applications such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
