Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Digital Media Forensic Examiner with a strong commitment to teamwork to join our team in Bethesda, MD . This role will be responsible for providing forensic examinations on a variety of media to include hard drives, removable media, memory cards, and mobile devices. The examiner will be able to write examination reports for both high-level and technical audiences, documenting opinions and interpretations when required. Responsible for performing peer reviews on reports and providing the customer with recommendations on TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) regarding digital forensic examinations.Qualifications Required SkillsDemonstrated experience in digital forensics (exploitation and examination)Demonstrated experience in mobile device data extraction and analysisExperience with file system forensicsUnderstanding of iOS and Android operating systems and applicationsUnderstanding of managing complex, large data set analysisIn-depth experience with timeline analysisExperience with forensic media imagingExperience with email analysisExperience with signature and hash analysisDemonstrated experience with forensic tools such as EnCase, Forensic Toolkit (FTK), X-Ways Forensics, Axiom, Cellebrite, and GrayKeyStrong verbal and written communication skills with technical report writing experienceDoD 8570 Compliance (IAT Level II) required to start.Active TS / SCI required to start (with eligibility for a CI Poly)5 years with BS / BA; 3 years with MS / MA; 0 years with PhDDesired SkillsIndustry-specific certifications such as Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), and / or DoD-DFEIntelligence Community (IC) experienceForensic tool and script developmentProgramming experiencePeraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
