We are in need of an RF engineer with software development experience to support an electronic warfare (EW) science and technology (S&T) lab in the Electronic Warfare and Survivability division. Responsibilities will generally include developing system/signal of interest (SOI) models or integrating from 3rd parties, and working with intel and mission partners to develop and evaluate electronic attack (EA) countermeasures in a lab environment to protect Army platforms & soldiers.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
- Experience using software development processes to create and integrate system models
- Experience working in an RF lab environment, including direct-inject (wired) testing.
- Experience working with software defined radios (Ettus, Epiq, etc.), GNU Radio, and/or firmware programming
- Experience with MATLAB (preferably including Simulink) and toolboxes (DSP, signal processing, radar, etc)
- Knowledge of commercial communication protocols
- Develop and maintain understanding of RF enabled systems of interest by maintaining effective working relationship with Intel community (MSIC, NGIC, etc.)
- Software base: Python, MATLAB, VHDL, C
- Ability to travel in support of tests and demonstrations
- US Citizenship
- Active Secret Clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of open/modular architectures and frameworks (MOSA, CMOSS)
- Experience with common/collaborative framework environment (CFE) EW framework
- Experience creating containerized software packages (Docker, Podman, etc.)
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
