Responsibilities
The Department of Interior (DOI) CHS III program will be leading the way for Cloud Hosting and Applications Modernization across DOI and its subordinate bureaus. CHS III will facilitate migration of legacy on-premises applications to a modern, secure and scalable multi-cloud platform. From sensors in active volcanic regions to earthquake detection data, CHS III will be DOI's central cloud processing and data solution.
This position will require regular travel to various sites across the United States to support migrating on-premise data center workloads over to the cloud. The candidate will be expected to support various cloud-based workloads in AWS that are of differing scale and complexity. The candidate will be responsible for :
Analyzing and architecting the migration of on-premises systems to AWS or other Cloud Service Provider.
- Defining the architecture and end-state of on-premises workloads residing in the cloud. To be achieved with the following technologies such as, but not limited to :
AWS CloudFormation
Implementing and administering Gitlab Runners
