Peraton is seeking a Senior Level Database Engineer to lead the architecture, optimization, and performance of critical database systems that support mission-essential operations. What You'll Do
As a Senior Level Database Engineer, you will :
- Architect data structures that align with system requirements, balancing user demand, data volumes, security, response times, and retention rules.
- Provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, and storage optimization.
- Work at the front end of the lifecycle, from requirements gathering to system acceptance testing and Initial Operational Capability (IOC).
- Develop project-specific requirements and translate them into comprehensive database designs.
- Analyze and recommend improvements for systems performance, optimization, and maintainability.
- Create and update complex queries, scripts, and schemas to enhance data retrieval speed and efficiency.
- Tune relational databases for optimal performance of components and systems.
