We are seeking a talented Senior Network Security Research Scientist to join our high performing team. Must be able to work onsite five days a week. The Senior Network Security Research Scientist will develop innovative solutions to solve hard, real-world networking problems. You’ll take responsibility to accomplish deliverables within a small team setting of fellow engineers and conduct cutting edge network research.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
- Python development
- Hands-on development experience in either cybersecurity, network protocols, and/or network engineering
- Must have knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of IP and routing technologies
- Modern development practices and toolsets (Git, subversion, CI/CD toolchains)
- Experience running docker containers
- Experience with networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.)
- Experience with Wireshark
- Experience with configuring L2/L3 network devices and their consoles (Cisco IOS, FRR etc.)
- A passion to learn something new every day and to stay up-to-date with developments in your field
- Adept at independent problem-solving and comfortable with a general approach of taking initiative to find and develop solutions
- U.S Citizenship
- Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
Desired:
- Expertise in one or more: C, C , and/or Python
- Ability to grasp the “big picture” and see beyond specific problems
- Network emulation frameworks including CORE, EMANE, and/or MiniNet
- Experience with threat intelligence research
- Advanced network protocols understanding
- CCNA/CCNP
- Experience working with Ansible
- A current TS/SCI Clearance

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.EEO
