Responsibilities
Peraton is looking for a Scientific Software Developer who will be responsible for the following.
- Developing algorithms, computer models, and scientific software programs for a variety of systems engineering, modeling and simulation, measurement, test and evaluation, and other tasks for current and anticipated customers.
- In support of naval vessel acoustic signature measurement programs, the individual will develop advanced machine learning algorithms and techniques in application areas such as large array beamforming, near-real-time sonar and image processing systems, spectral and temporal noise characterization, calibration and measurement.
- The individual will support the full software life cycle and software engineering process from requirements development through installation and maintenance of field ready operational software applications and prototype demonstrations.
- The individual will work under the direction of project managers and senior scientists and engineers to solve customer problems through the application of science, engineering and mathematical principles and techniques.
- Some local and long distance travel to client sites may be required to perform tests and participate in progress / results briefings and technical exchange meetings.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years with BS / BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS / MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD

Target Salary Range
104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
