Peraton is seeking a Springboot Java Developer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Location: Hybrid – On-site in Columbia, MD, 4 times per month
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of multiple applications within a large-scale Federal IT program.
- Build robust Java/Spring-based REST APIs integrated with a modern Web 2.0 framework.
- Work in a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environment to ensure seamless delivery.
- Develop Java/Spring solutions and provide leadership to software development teams.
- Conduct detailed design reviews to ensure quality and alignment with program goals.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 4 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 6 years experience.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
- Hands-on Java/Spring development experience.
- Proven experience developing enterprise solutions using the Java Spring framework.
- Strong understanding of database schema design and SQL.
- Solid background in Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Experience using Java development tools such as Eclipse, JUnit, and Git.
- Experience leading development teams within a large-scale Federal IT program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional experience in a large-scale Federal IT program.
- Advanced expertise in Agile Scrum methodologies.
