Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include full lifecycle support of both Oracle Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. Along with the Linux support, the candidate is expected to support various applications (Oracle Enterprise Manager, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, Puppet, Confluence, Gitlab, Splunk, Jenkins) to provide smooth operation of the environment. Help train junior members with patching, and other O&M-related tasks. The candidate is expected to understand and comply with certification and accreditation requirements. The candidate should also have a solid understanding of security requirements, and how to remediate security findings. Help create and maintain SOPs. To be successful in this challenging and critical role, the candidate will be expected to have the following: will possess many years of working experience in large - multi-site environments, expert knowledge of OEL & RHEL, in-depth knowledge, and real-world experience in automation, be able to troubleshoot & mitigate issues, working knowledge of databases, detailed oriented, a team player, and is willing to learn. The candidate will also be intimately familiar with various Chasis and Blade servers (ie. Dell).
Responsibilities:
• Responsibilities of this role include, but is not limited to:
• Expected to have a deep understanding of Exadata, OEL, and RHEL Systems
• Perform day to day support for Exadata, OEL, and RHEL Systems,
• Expected to have an understanding of CI/CD & OpenShift systems in multi-datacenter environments
• Responsible for installation, upgrade, patching, and monitoring of OEL, and RHEL Systems
• Must have good scripting experience in at least one of the scripting languages (Bash, Perl, python, ruby)
• Will be proficient in using Ansible, Git, and or Puppet (willing to learn)
• Provide technical leadership and technical guidance on all things OEL and RHEL systems
• Will have working knowledge of Satellite systems to patch and install/upgrade packages
• Expected to have a good understanding of CI/CD & DevOps operations
• Expected to have a good understanding of the Oracle Databases
• Good to have a working knowledge of Nexus, Docker, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, GitLab
• Understand all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, Configuration Management, quality assurance, and release management
• The candidate must be able to deliver technical documentation and user documentation as required
• This position may require occasional off-hours support to perform upgrades and patches

Qualifications
• Requires US Citizenship and an active SECRET Government Security Clearance
• Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.
Required:
Extensive Knowledge and Experience in a Linux high level of Red Hat or Oracle Linux:
• 10 years OEL/RHEL Systems Administrator
• 6 years with (Ansible and/or Puppet), (Bash and/or Python), vCenter
• 10 years required experience in Information Technology, hardware, software, development
Preferred: Server Hardware, CEPH, RH Satellite, HAProxy, Apache Web Server, Gitlab, SSL, CI/CD
Certifications: Red Hat or Oracle Certifications
Education: BS/MS Information Technology; Computer Science Information Technology
