Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to support our Intelligence Community customer in the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring systems are fully operational and available at all times, rapidly troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and managing tickets and customer interactions. This is a customer-facing role with frequent direct communication with the client, requiring a proactive approach to system management and support.
Key Responsibilities :
- System Support : Ensure high system availability and operational performance. Troubleshoot and resolve network and application performance issues promptly.
- Ticketing System : Manage and resolve systems issues through a ticketing tracking system, ensuring all incidents are documented and tracked through completion.
- Customer Interaction : Regularly interact with the government customer, contractor project leads, ISSO, and end users to understand requirements and provide timely support.
- Patching and Updates : Perform monthly patching and system updates during off-hours, ensuring that systems are kept up-to-date and secure.
- System Hardening and Security : Implement and manage system hardening measures through the application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and regular patching to maintain system security compliance.
- Documentation : Generate and maintain critical system documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Security Test Procedures (STP), System Installation Procedures (SIP), and System Administration Guides (SAG). Ensure that complex system configurations are clearly documented for clarity and ease of understanding.
- Software and Database Management : Deploy, configure, and maintain software and applications, including Oracle database environments on Windows and CentOS servers.

Target Salary Range
86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
