Responsibilities

At Peraton, we lead the charge in technology and innovation, delivering top-tier solutions for critical missions. We're looking for a System Administrator to join our team and help manage key systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. Your technical skills will directly contribute to the success of major initiatives that support national security and cutting-edge infrastructure.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• The candidate will work closely with government Customers, contractor Project Lead, Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Application Vendor, and Application End Users.

• Perform daily system monitoring and monthly Patching.

• Troubleshoot network and application performance issues and recommend appropriate action.

• Rapidly troubleshoot issues, resolving systems issues via a ticketing tracking system. If systems issues and circumstances warrant it, the candidate must also be willing to report to customer location during off-hours.

• Responsible for deploying software patches on a monthly basis at the customer location during off-hours.

• Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in system administration or IT-related roles.

  • Practical experience with administration tools, system monitoring, and automation tools.

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, Unix), virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and automation techniques.

  • Solid understanding of network protocols, security policies, and system design.
