VTC Technician

Responsibilities

Sustainment Division Support. The Sustainment Division provides GCC mission services to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operational support services for both the GCC and the Warfighter. The Sustainment Division provides foundational services such as continual process improvement, cost control, mission planning, and opportunities for organizational efficiencies which include development of tools, asset management (HW/SW) for LCM and property accountability and security control to protect GCC CONUS managed DODIN-A services (NIPRNet and SIPRNet). • The Facilities team is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the GCC building to ensure that it meets health and safety standards. The team is also responsible for managing the office systems, which can often include IT and office equipment.Facilities/Infrastructure Support Services.• Audio/Visual Suite Support. Secure, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide service management of multi-vendor VTC technologies including Video Teleconference (VTC); Application Aware Firewalls, Video Communication Servers (VCS), Cisco Meeting Server (CMS), Telepresence Management Suite (TMS), Polycom Multipoint Control Units (MCUs), Distributed Media Application (DMA), and/or VTC codecs. Support for NIPR and SIPR VTC's and Unclassified/Classified meetings.• Be responsible for all aspects of Operating and Maintaining (O&M) the secure configuration/upgrade VoIP/VTC systems including end user devices, hardware and software, and paperwork to include items such as IAVA DRA’s/POA&M’s, ATO, and RMF.• Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities. Recommend technologies to accomplish long-term objectives. Develop concepts, products, or technologies that extend knowledge in fields of expertise.• Exhibit ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness to solve problems on-the-spot and in real-time.• Perform assigned field technical duties and administrative functions with limited Government oversight. • Perform close coordination with customer representatives on highly advanced technical issues.• Develop and deliver reports and presentations IAW Appendix B: Performance Standards. • Support Unclassified and Classified meetings by configuring NIPR and SIPR audio/visual equipment and ensuring functionality.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

• 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree
• Possess and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Certifications: DCWF Code 451 Intermediate: CompTIA Cloud or CompTIA Security or GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
• Ability to work periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
• Normal office working conditions with possible requirement to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.

Target Salary Range

Salary : $39,000 - $62,000
