WWTPO Grade I

Location: Adelanto, CA

Hours: Varies. Approx. 6:00am-2:30pm 5 times a week

Job Objective - Reporting directly to Chief Plant Operator, the Grade I Operator has full responsibility for assisting in the successful operation and maintenance of the facility and lift station.

• Perform equipment operation and maintenance
• Troubleshoot process and equipment problems
• Operate, inspect and service lift stations
• Read Meters & data collection for WWTP
• Collect samples & Analyze lab tests
• Interpret in-house laboratory results and report data
• Operate pumps, valves, & equipment
• Participate in on-call duties/rotation as scheduled
• Communicate any problems/issues to supervisor
• Promote and adhere to PERC’s written corporate Safety program
• All other tasks as assigned by the Chief Plant Operator
• Maintain acceptable attendance per PERC standards

1. General computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

1. Excellent team-working and communications skills to enable effective interaction with other PERC Water personnel, including peers.

1. Physical:
   • Body Positions: Standing, sitting for extended periods of time, walking.
   • Body Movements: Use of hands, eyes, arms, and voice. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
   • Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders and climb into process tanks and enclosures
   • Must be able to work weekends, nights or holidays as needed.
     • Must be able to travel from jobsite to jobsite at various locations surrounding the area

1. Mental:
   • Language ability includes reading, writing, spelling, and the ability to communicate clearly on business topics in English.

1. Current California Grade I Wastewater Certification required
2. Minimum1 years of previous experience in water reclamation facility operations required
3. Valid California class "C" driver’s license required,
4. Class "A or B " California driver's license required
5. College Degree a plus but not required
6. Must be able to maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License
