Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized, enthusiastic, and proactive Event Assistant to support the planning and execution of events. The Event Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring events run smoothly, assisting with logistics, and providing on-site support to guests, vendors, and event staff. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong communication and organizational skills looking to gain hands-on experience in event planning and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Preparation & Coordination: Assist in the planning, organization, and preparation of events, ensuring all logistics are in place.
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services and equipment.
- On-Site Assistance: Provide day-of event support, including setting up and breaking down event spaces, managing attendee flow, and ensuring event timelines are followed.
- Administrative Support: Assist with event-related administrative tasks, such as managing schedules, creating event materials, and updating event databases.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with the event team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure all event details are accurate and deadlines are met.
- Problem-Solving: Address any issues that arise before, during, or after the event, ensuring quick and efficient resolutions.
- Post-Event Activities: Assist with post-event evaluations, including gathering feedback, processing event materials, and updating records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in event management, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Prior experience in event planning or hospitality is a plus but not required.
