What You’ll Be Doing
The Accounting Analyst performs monthly journal entries and reconciliations of Client Accounts per the client standard and acts as the Dealer Walkaway Program Subject Matter Expert.
During a Typical Day, You’ll
- Prepare, understand, and enter monthly journal entries into PSGL (or SAP)
- Create, update, and analyze spreadsheets, Present and review spreadsheet to client manager for approval, Notify Management if data does not generate expected outcome, Ensure control log is updated, reviewed, and signed. Ensure all required journal entry back up is saved on the shared drive
- Complete Monthly reconciliation of program accounts
- Pull backup to support charges made in the accounts, Research to Identify reconciling items that cause any accounts to be out of balance, Prepare reconciliation document and present to the client manager for approval, Communicate items causing any out of balance, Verify all reconciling items are correct before month end. If not correct, send notice to the applicable party, Prepare accounts in Peoplesoft (or Blackline)
- Generate, distribute, and validate Variable Marketing Reports that show the amount spent in each region
- Investigate ESPS processes that generate accounting rejects
- Develop a plan to correct identified issues, Notify the parties involved on how to correct the reject, Verify the correction was completed
Education
- High School diploma required - college coursework desired
- One to three years experience, preferably in the Extended Service Plan program
- Accounting/bookkeeping background desired
- Strong accounting and mathematical skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Understanding of debits and credits
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong organizational, time management, and ability to multi-task
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, managers, and co-workers
- Experience in IMS3, CCAPS, CPARS, Acenza, CBS, and/or PeopleSoft is a plus
- Starting pay of 16.90 per hour
