What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Instrument Operator / Rodman (Right of Way) position at Percheron, LLC?
Percheron is looking for a Survey Instrument Operator (Right of Way) that is local to any of the following areas of Texas: Lake Jackson, Freeport, Angleton, Alvin, Pearland, Friendswood, League City, or Seabrook Texas area.
- Reports to the Crew Chief or Party Chief who is responsible for the project/assignment. The Crew Chief or Party Chief will provide the scope of work and general guidance to ensure work is completed in accordance with the client’s requirements.
- Ability to prepare and set survey stakes as per Crew Chief’s instructions.
- Ability to read and use a survey measure tape.
- Maintain Company owned (or leased) equipment in a safe, working condition.
- Participate in any client required safety training.
- Immediately report to the Party Chief or Crew Chief any safety incidents or suspected Drug or Alcohol use by the crew.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be willing to travel locally in the greater Houston area including but not limited to: Clute/Freeport/League City
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- If operating a vehicle—must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
- Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
- Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.
