What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Coordinator position at Percy and Donna Malone Child Safety Center?
Position Description: Full-time professional position that plans, develops and maintains a comprehensive private and public sector fundraising program on behalf of the CSC; have primary responsibility for CSC publications, marketing, communications, donor management, and events; identifies and applies for local, state, federal, private and foundation grants and completes needed reports; assist the Executive Director with grant management and budgeting; and enhances the mission and vision of the CSC.
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field required and two or more years of development experience preferred. Ability to meet people with ease; ability to write and edit effectively; exceptional computer skills; ability to communicate the written and spoken work with tact, diplomacy, and/or authority when necessary; good organizational skills, well disciplined, able to meet deadlines, self-starter, creative, innovative, able to work under pressure of many priorities and deadlines; ability to work effectively with volunteers and donors; knowledge of marketing strategies and techniques; knowledge of long-range planning process; skills in grant management and nonprofit business. Must have highly developed interpersonal skills.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
About the Percy and Donna Malone Child Safety Center: The Percy and Donna Malone Child Safety Center (CSC) exists to provide comprehensive community services to child victims of sexual abuse or other abuse as well as to their non-offending family members or caretakers. The CSC is committed to offering safety from trauma to victims of child abuse and neglect and to their family, while also providing advocacy and empowerment to prevent future victimization. The CSC provides a child-friendly environment for conducting forensic interviews, coordinating with treatment specialists concerning the goals of renewal, prevention, and education. The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under 501(c)(3) of the Internal revenue code.
