Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins and Mott LLP (PBFCM) has an immediate opening for a Lead Legal Assistant in our Houston office.

Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and lead operation of delinquent property tax litigation department
- Review, edit and direct work product of other legal assistants
- Consistently run and complete reports to maintain a continuous and steady workflow for department
- Ensure daily and weekly deadlines are met by team members
- Receive and process all incoming payments
- Provide litigation support to attorneys as needed in the collaborative efforts to move cases forward
- Prepare and e-file litigation documents with various courts
- Prepare various outgoing letters
- Correspond daily via email with clients, constables, court personnel, taxpayers, and others
- Maintain and update databases including e-cabinet system and firm's case management system
- Additional clerical or administrative duties, as needed or assigned
Experience Requirement:
- At least one (1) year experience as a legal assistant/paralegal in a litigation law firm
- Prior supervisory and/or management experience (Preferred)
- Experience working in a collection law firm (Preferred)
- Three (3) years of professional work experience (Preferred)
- Previous experience or working knowledge of Texas E-Filing procedures, Skip-tracing techniques and/or utilization of E-Cabinet systems (Preferred)
Education Requirement:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certifications and/or College Degree (Preferred)
