Perella Weinberg Partners is actively seeking a Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Director to join our Advisory business. This is a great opportunity to join a team of highly seasoned professionals focused on M&A advisory services across Insurance, InsurTech, Insurance Brokerage and Services, and Asset and Wealth Management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide deal execution leadership and process management for buy- and sell-side Mergers & Acquisitions assignments across FIG sub-sectors.
- Develop and deliver to both clients and investment banking personnel, including senior management, industry knowledge through the monitoring and assessment of macro and micro economic conditions and economic forecasts.
- Conduct strategic reviews of individual companies utilizing financial analyses and modeling.
- Conduct financial analyses of both current and prospective clients, review financial statements, balance sheets, financial structures, business strategies and competitive positioning.
- Lead junior team in the creation and enhancement of financial models.
- Lead due diligence processes, including analyses of income growth, quality of management, market share and potential sector risks.
- Evaluate strategic alternatives and make recommendations both internally and to client companies on prospective M&A opportunities and timing.
- Participate in deal origination and client marketing efforts, including the development of ideas that assist in winning mandates.
- Recruit, manage, train, and develop junior resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years investment banking experience, or MBA with 3 post-MBA investment banking experience.
- 3 years of dedicated FIG experience with an advanced understanding and knowledge of FIG industry participants, performance drivers, trends and challenges.
- Experience managing the day-to-day execution of different types of M&A processes.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and enjoy collaborating with others on projects.
- Critical thinker who can quickly evaluate and analyze companies and financial information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong financial modeling, finance, and accounting skills.
- Strong project management skills.
