Fabricator

Perennial Energy is seeking qualified candidates for a Fabricator position. The Fabricator is responsible for the accurate assembly, cutting, welding, and finishing of metal components using various tools, machinery, and techniques. This position requires proficiency in interpreting blueprints, operating fabrication equipment, and maintaining strict adherence to safety standards. All positions are assessed through a skills field evaluation to determine the appropriate level and pay within the pay range.

Key Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute fabrication tasks.

· Accurately measure, cut, and prepare materials with a strong understanding of material properties and tolerances.

· Operate fabrication equipment, including plasma tables, handheld plasma torches, metal brakes, sheet metal shears, horizontal and vertical band saws, and iron workers.

· Use computers and nesting software to prepare materials to be cut using a CNC Plasma Table

· Use finishing techniques to ensure components meet quality standards.

· Fabricate raw material into components based on project specifications and engineering requirements.

· Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

· Identify and troubleshoot issues, making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and functionality.

· Follow all safety standards, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

· Maintain worksite safety practices and report any hazards or inefficiencies.

· Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper operation.

· Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

· Document work performed, including material usage, equipment settings, and any modifications.

· Other duties as assigned.
