Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automation Systems Engineer to join our team. This role will involve championing standardization and innovation, utilizing technical skills to drive outages to resolution, and collaborating with the team to develop runbooks and other technical documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in computer operations, data centers, and data communications, with expertise in Unix/Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu, etc.)
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience working with Salt or Ansible for orchestration, preferably Salt
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Familiarity with Jira concepts and SDLC framework
- Experience providing and automating day-to-day systems administration duties, including Shell (Bourne), Perl, or Python scripting
- Knowledge of open-source metric analytics & visualization tools, such as Grafana, Splunk, and Humio, and multiple open-source automation and management tool-set knowledge
