What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Network Engineer position at Perennial Resources International?

I have a full time opportunity in Providence, RI for a Senior Network Engineer to join the team with one of our top tier clients! This role will report into the Director of Security. Please see the job description and let me know if you are interested.

Responsible for configuration and administration of the company's technical infrastructure. In addition, provides primary level support for patching and remediation. Works directly with technology department management regarding ongoing technology refresh strategy and upgrades.

Responsibilities :

Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and enforce network policies and procedures.
Perform regular network patching and remediation to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Stay current with industry trends and technologies to enhance network performance and security.

Requirements :

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 3 years of experience in network engineering, cloud engineering, or system administration. (Additional years of experience or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.)

Experience with Group Policy, O365, MS Defender, Intune

Proven experience deploying and maintaining patching and remediation in a Windows production environment

Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including topologies, protocols, switching, routing, and DNS.

Ability to research and solve problems independently with minimal guidance.

Willingness to work in a small team environment and provide support across departments as needed.

Bonus Points :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Azure certifications) are a plus.

Experience configuring and troubleshooting VPN, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Access Control Policies, URL Filtering and overall familiarity with Next-Generation Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet)

Experience administering Exchange 365, Microsoft Defender, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
