Oncology Nurse

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology to join our healthcare team. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including physical, emotional, and psychosocial aspects.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform triage duties to prioritize patient care based on urgency and needs.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, side effects, and coping strategies.
• Implement infection control measures and maintain aseptic technique during procedures.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis and process them according to established protocols.
• Manage acute pain effectively through appropriate interventions and patient education.
• Offer ostomy care and support for patients undergoing related procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Advocate for patients with disabilities, ensuring they receive equitable care throughout their treatment journey.

Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:

• Proficient in triage techniques for effective patient assessment.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain safety standards.
• Experience in travel nursing is a plus, providing flexibility in various healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with behavioral health considerations in oncology patients.
• Competence in specimen collection processing for accurate diagnostics.
• Expertise in ostomy care management.
• Ability to implement acute pain management strategies effectively.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care with a focus on infection control practices.

Pay: $2,717.00 - $2,741.00 per week
