Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our operations team. Responsibilities
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications via phone systems, ensuring timely responses and effective information dissemination.
- Assist in transportation planning by coordinating schedules and routes for deliveries.
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of shipments.
- Utilize GPS technology to monitor transportation logistics and optimize routes.
- Maintain records in Excel Reports for tracking shipments and inventory management.
- Support dispatching activities by analyzing transportation needs and coordinating with drivers.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze operational data and improve efficiency within transportation management systems.
- Provide general administrative support, including typing documents, scheduling meetings, and maintaining filing systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with phone systems, GPS technology, and transportation management systems is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Excel or similar software for data entry and record keeping.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess situations and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with team members and external partners.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
