Who You Are
As an Assistant Digital Press Operator, you will be responsible for assisting our Level 1 technicians operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art digital print and finishing equipment. The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in running a digital production press. The candidate will need to be able to perform multiple functions and be able to work independently in a print manufacturing environment. What You'll Do
- Assist Level 1 technicians in operation digital printing and finishing equipment.
- Learn to set up and configure printing machines to ensure accurate color reproduction and print quality.
- Load and unload paper and other printing materials.
- Monitor print jobs to ensure they are running smoothly and adjust as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on digital presses to keep them in optimal condition.
- Inspect printed materials for quality and accuracy.
- Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Sort and pack finished pieces for direct mail distribution based on USPS requirements.
What You Bring
- Previous experience as a Digital Press, Prepress or Bindery operator within the print industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating digital printing equipment and associated software.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for color accuracy and print quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when necessary to meet production deadlines.
- Ability to stand for length of shift.
- Ability to bend and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime based on work volume.
