Professionals (DSPs).
Position Summary
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals
with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. You will assist with daily activities, personal care,
and communication needs while fostering independence and self-expression. Through
patience and active listening, you will help individuals articulate their goals, dreams, and
concerns, then work alongside them to create actionable steps toward personal growth.
Your role will also involve engaging individuals in enriching experiences, such as art,
music, farming, fitness, recycling, volunteer work, and employment opportunities,
ensuring they have the support and encouragement needed to participate fully. Above
all, you will be a trusted advocate, creating a safe, respectful, and empowering
environment where individuals can thrive.
Multiple shifts are available including days, nights, overnights, and weekends.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, assisting with daily
living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and
mobility.
Foster independence and self-advocacy by encouraging individuals to participate
in decision-making and daily activities.
Assist individuals in engaging in community activities, including recreational
outings, volunteer opportunities, and employment support.
Support individuals in participating in structured programs such as art, music,
farming, fitness, and recycling.
Ensure a safe and supportive living environment by following care plans, safety
protocols, and emergency procedures.
Provide emotional support and companionship, building trusting relationships
with residents.
Administer medications and health-related tasks as trained and in accordance
with state regulations.
Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal
planning to maintain a comfortable home environment.
Maintain accurate documentation and records, including daily notes, incident
reports, and care updates.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, families, and
healthcare providers to ensure quality care and consistency.
Requirement:
Valid Driver’s License
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED preferred.
CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certification (or willingness to
obtain).
Prior experience (preferred but not required) in a direct care, human services, or
healthcare role, such as residential support for individuals with disabilities,
personal care assistant or home health aide, behavioral health support, or
special education or paraprofessional work.
Experience assisting individuals with daily living activities, mobility support, and
personal care is a plus.
Familiarity with behavior management, crisis intervention, or de-escalation
techniques is beneficial.

Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
