Apply to join the team today! Job Description We are seeking a Transportation Dispatcher, who will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the transportation operations within our company. You will assist in managing the day-to-day transportation communications while also ensuring that deliveries are made safely, on time, and without damage. Responsibilities :
- Assist in leading the team of 20 CDL and Non-CDL drivers
- Address any challenges that may arise during the shift
- Maintain constant communication with drivers to ensure smooth operations
- Track shipments in real time, and report any delays or emergencies promptly to the relevant parties
- Utilize tools such as Descartes, Geotab, and the Microsoft Suite of products
- Prepare and send daily end-of-shift reports with timeliness and accuracy
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, fleet performance goals are being met, and operations are maintaining efficiency
- Ensure strict adherence and compliance to company policies, safety regulations, and DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations
- Oversee the Hours of Service (HOS) and Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) programs
- Perform other duties as assigned as business needs change Qualifications
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must have at least 1 year of professional delivery driving experience.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Ability to remain professional and courteous in challenging situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
- Excellent verbal, written, and auditory communication skills.
- Must have experience with Excel, Word, Outlook and other MS office Suite Programs.
- Mush have experience with Telematics such as GeoTab
- Mush have experience with understanding Department of Transportation Rules and Regulations Shift & Hours : Sunday – Thursday 10 : 00pm - 6 : 00am Compensation : Hourly rate ranging $22 / hour Benefits : Company offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees.
