Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Construction Equipment Operator to join our construction division. In this role, you will be crucial in operating various types of machinery and equipment required for athletic field construction and development projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain construction equipment including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, and field grading equipment.
- Execute tasks such as grading, trenching, and earthmoving to prepare and develop fields and recreational areas.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Work closely with construction teams to execute project plans and meet deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
- Provide accurate reports on equipment performance and project progress.
- Ability to supervise yourself and crew.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment, with a strong understanding of machinery and its maintenance.
- Experience in athletic field and golf construction or related work is helpful
- Knowledge of grading, excavation, and earthmoving.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Class A CDL license is helpful.
- Certification or training in equipment operation and construction practices is a plus.
- Most projects have many facets and processes involved. Versatility and adaptability are crucial. The right candidate will be willing to assist where needed for the sake of getting the job done.
- Must be in good health and physically capable of performing required duties.

Pay: $27.20 - $30.22 per hour
