Job Description: As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges in their daily lives. This role involves providing compassionate care, assistance with daily activities, and promoting a positive and supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Mandt/ DDA Training Mandatory
- CPR FISRT AID
- Valid driver license
- Previous DSP experience (preferred)
Additional Information
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Provide support in community integration, including transportation, social activities, and vocational training.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other team members.
- Implement individualized support plans and monitor progress towards personal goals.
- Encourage and support individuals in developing skills for greater independence and self-advocacy.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
