Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain sterilization of instruments and cleanliness of the dental clinic in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed before procedures.
- Support in general dentistry tasks as well as specialized areas such as pediatric dentistry and endodontics.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is preferred.
- Experience in general dentistry practices is essential; knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge is required.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform basic tasks related to endodontics is desirable.
