Perfection Group is seeking a Control Systems Designer to join our Mechanical Division based in Cincinnati, OH.
A Control Systems Designer shall develop project solutions and perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, as related to mechanically functioning control equipment, Networks, BACnet, LAN, WAN, Wireless etc. Develop design criterion for systems such as centralized heat, gas, water, VRF, VAV, Air distribution and steam systems utilizing Direct Digital Controls.

Perfection Group is seeking a Control Systems Designer to join our Mechanical Division based in Cincinnati, OH.
A Control Systems Designer shall develop project solutions and perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, as related to mechanically functioning control equipment, Networks, BACnet, LAN, WAN, Wireless etc. Develop design criterion for systems such as centralized heat, gas, water, VRF, VAV, Air distribution and steam systems utilizing Direct Digital Controls.
What You Will Do:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
- Research, design, evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems, or processes to meet requirements.
- Confer with engineers or other personnel, identify energy/water and other conservation opportunities
- Develop energy-efficient design solutions, and technology upgrades.
- Analyze facility drawings to assess mechanical, electrical, and control systems and determine facility operational characteristics
- Develop design of systems, using drafting tools or computer-assisted drafting equipment or software.
- Review the associated scope of work to be executed as part of the project
- Develop internal cost estimates and coordinate subcontractor cost quotes
- Coordinate the integration of design engineering, project construction, start-up/turnover, and subsequent Operations & Maintenance procedures for projects
- Support the Project management team as needed to ensure delivery of a successful project
- Review, Update and ensure accurate templates and drawing details are followed
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, computer or mechanical is preferred) or similar technical experience
- Experience with building HVAC, controls, lighting, and other systems a plus
- Niagra 4 Certification required
- High proficiency in Excel, Word, and other software usage
- Experience creating detailed drawings (CAD) (BIM) Modeling (Design Builder)
- Technical Writing, Specifications, Sequences Etc.
- Additional certifications, such as Tridium, JAVA, LEED, are a plus
