WHAT YOU WILL DO
As expert you will bring a deep technical mastery of the process and equipment. That expertise allows you to lead the planning, process development and implementation of Planned Maintenance Elements in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment. You will manage this through teams consisting of various technical and non-technical personnel, key support contractors and operations personnel.
- Own the technology and process and centerline settings for the equipment and process and have deep technical mastery of the process and equipment
- Develop, own and execute the line/s preventive and time-based maintenance systems and plans and build capability of the team to execute themselves; Build (spends at least 50% of time) technical and maintenance skills of the technicians working in the shifts, so that they are able to operate and maintain their equipment themselves; be part of the PM Pillar, own all PM systems and work process at the line level and lead some of them at the department level
- Partner with the Asset and Reliability team for system improvement and execution of special maintenance tasks; Represents the department/line/s as the site technology owner in the regional and global technology forums
- Assist in VSU for initiatives and enable the VSU team; be the subject matter expert on one of the component categories and be a trainer of PM related subjects for the plant
- Advanced knowledge (including AM-Autonomous Maintenance Step 4 systems & Progressive Maintenance Step 3) & skill to maintain the dedicated equipment(s)at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (BD-Breakdown maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipment(s) and TPM - Phase 3 & 4 tools problem solving tools
- The capability to lead a Role for the Line. Qualify and coach other department owners and drive improvement opportunities across areas the department utilizing PDCA-Plan Do Check Act approach
- Partner & Enable the line leader(s) to deliver the SQCDSM targets-Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability & Morale for the lines, to ensure Process stability; Participates in the DMS- Daily Management systems meetings at the shift and line lev
- Assist with other duties as needed.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years Manufacturing Maintenance experience
- Additional education may be required to support the HPWT business success
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must have ability to analyze and interpret information from reports
- Good communication skills
- Requires team participation
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to work overtime hours, above your normal schedule, to meet customer’s demands.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)- Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Uniform, Hairnet, Beard net, and Mask when required.
- Occasionally exposed to dusty conditions due to the handling of bulk products. The employee must be able to wear and use breathing protection devices as required while working in these conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Ability to talk, hear, and smell.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally push/pull 350-pound carts with wheels.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

The anticipated target range for this role is: $19 - $25 per hour.
Perfetti Van Melle considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
