We currently have a career opportunity for a Technical Program Manager to join our team located in Charlottle, NC. Must be willing to commute to Fort Mill, SC at least 3-4 days a week onsite. Note: this is a contract to hire position.
A Technical Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for overseeing the execution of complex technical projects across their entirety, from conception to deployment, ensuring they align with organizational goals, are delivered on time, and within budget, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage technical risks and drive successful project outcomes; they typically possess a strong technical background and project management skills to navigate intricate technical aspects of a program and facilitate smooth collaboration between engineering, product, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones, to guide project execution across the entire lifecycle.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Technical Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to minimize project impact.
- Communication and Reporting: Communicate project status updates, key metrics, and potential roadblocks to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
- Process Improvement: Analyze project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to optimize project efficiency.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of relevant technologies, software development methodologies (e.g., Agile), and system architecture to make informed decisions throughout the project.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively across project teams, manage dependencies, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, advocate for project needs, and manage expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in project management, ideally with a focus on software development
- Strong technical background with knowledge of relevant programming languages and technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop practical solutions
- Strong leadership skills to drive project execution and navigate challenges
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
