Job description :
Candidate has worked on simple to medium complexity reports. They don't have experience with the volume of data we are using and is not familiar with usage of performance improvement tools such as Dax studio or Tabular editor.
Start Date : Three weeks after acceptance
Team : Conversion of MicroStrategy reports to Power BI
Skills Required :
- Must have 8 year of experience in Power BI and at least 3 years of experience using Business Intelligence toolset
- Experience working on Power BI reports with large volumes of data
- Experience in handling / writing native queries in Power BI
- Experience working with Power Query M formula language
- Experience with developing efficient semantic models by taking scalability, accuracy, and report retrieval performance into consideration
- Experience working on Power BI reports using Snowflake as a data source
- Experience with various optimization techniques on Power BI semantic models using Snowflake
- Experience working with DAX Studio and Tabular Editor
- Experience working with full-stack Power BI in a large company
- Experience creating Power BI reports and delivering via email in HTML format and printing reports
- Strong knowledge of Power BI desktop tool and Power BI service
- Proficient in creating complex DAX queries and advanced-level calculations in Power BI Desktop
- Knowledge of the Power BI Report Builder tool
- Knowledge of the newest features within Power BI
- Knowledge to connect Power BI to Databricks delta tables and transform data for Business Intelligence
- Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals
- Ability to develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI Desktop
- Ability to optimize and update Power BI Semantic models to support new and existing projects
- Ability to implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI
- Ability to translate business needs to meet system and user requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience is preferred.
