Description
A Vendor Manager/Procurement Manager or pseudo-PM with a baseline in technology will have initial conversations with hardware and software vendors. They must understand if the vendor has what the client is looking for, for example, a Firewall partner. This resource will also be responsible for analyzing contracts, understanding their terms, and negotiating them.
This role requires someone with experience in IT, working with and negotiating vendors, and having a great personality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Portfolio Manager:
• Supports day-to-day operations of the Office of the CIO – Vendor and Portfolio Management team
• Coordinates and ensures team SLAs and activities are being addressed appropriately
• Supports the Portfolio Manager by addressing incoming inquiries or issues and escalating as appropriate
• Oversees vendor contracts and renewals
• Oversees legal intake and the legal review process
• Tracks vendor expenses and identifies anomalies
• Creates meaningful reporting using various data sources
• Develops PowerPoint decks/presentations for management/executive audiences
• Proven ability to interact and communicate with all levels of management, especially leadership
• Identifies and develops solutions for continuous process improvement
• Leads, facilitates, and coordinates meetings as needed and directed by the Portfolio Manager
• Represents clients in an ethical and professional manner in all interactions
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 7 years of related experience
• Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
• Microsoft PowerPoint (Advanced)
• Microsoft Visio (Intermediate)
• Experience with ServiceNow SPM, ITSM, and SAM
• Experience with Project Portfolio Management and ITIL framework
