Performance Authority is a 20-year old, family-owned diesel performance, repair and maintenance shop in beautiful Bend, Oregon. We are the area’s go-to independent shop for diesel trucks, with an established reputation that draws return customers from all over the Pacific Northwest. Our focus and specialty is light and medium duty trucks: Powerstoke, Duramax and Cummins.

Performance Authority technicians are responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trucks, and wildfire support vehicles. We’re looking for techs who work closely with diesel engines and have a background in technical engine diagnostics and programming as well as diesel truck performance upgrades.

Responsibilities
- Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
- Analyzing diagnostic test results
- Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
- Checking vehicle lighting systems
- Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
- Performing preventative maintenance (lube, oil, filter services)
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Contribute to maintaining a parts inventory
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop
General Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 7 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
- Must have own set of tools applicable for the job
- Valid driver’s license
- The ability to solve problems
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
