About the role
The Data Integration Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring seamless data flow across various systems within the banks. This involves designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions. This role will work with various stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity.
Position can be located in Sioux Falls or Pierre, SD.
What you will do
- Develops and maintains ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and other integration processes to integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, flat files, and cloud services.
- Transforms and maps data from source systems to target systems, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
- Implements data quality checks and validation rules to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Troubleshoots and resolves data integration issues, including data quality problems, performance bottlenecks, and system failures. Provides support to end users and stakeholders.
- Documents data integration processes, data mappings, and solutions.
- Utilizes data visualization and reporting tools to generate reports.
- Collaborates effectively with stakeholders to understand data needs and contributes to the design of data architectures.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging data integration technologies and tools to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Adheres to data governance policies and procedures, including data security, privacy, and compliance regulations.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of data documentation and metadata.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in computer science or related field preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in a Data Integration Specialist or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, etc.).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake Databricks, AWS, GCP) and cloud-based data services.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake architectures including the Medalion Architecture.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Reporting Services, Cognos, etc.) is preferred.
