What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Travel Agent position at Performance Contracting Group?
PCG is seeking a Corporate Travel Agent for its corporate headquarters based in Lenexa, KS. This individual will be responsible for the following:
Booking and issuing domestic and international airline itineraries, hotel reservations, car reservations, train tickets, travel insurance, other land transportation
Process travel requests, sometimes booking 30-40 transactions a day
Assist travelers and planners with complex itineraries
Provide online and agent assist reservation fulfillment; ticketing, exchanges, refunds and voids
Review, negotiate and make recommendations with event contracts as needed
Monitor and support corporate travel department email and telephones
Maintain traveler profiles
Basic Requirements:
At least 2 years experience working in a customer-facing position
Must have robust customer service skills
Must have excellent attention to detail
Must have the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
Ability to process high-volume requests required
Oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in team environment
Ability to learn and apply new skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask
Preferred Requirements:
Experience working in the travel industry
Proficiency with travel booking systems
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience booking corporate travel
Experience with international travel bookings and group travel
Experience with Sabre Reservation System
Experience with Acendas is preferred
Local to the Kansas City area
