Job Description
PCI is seeking a Site Safety Representative for its PCI Memphis 142 operations based in Memphis, TN. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
- Promote safety, safe work practices, and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture throughout all site and field personnel
- Assist the branch/site with implementing and administering the company's accident prevention plan, policies, and procedures, including safety resources such as training, expertise, and guidance
- Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities
- Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards
- Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted timely and per client requirements and expectations
- Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards
- Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate compliance
- Responsible for investigating and evaluating injuries and illnesses for the project site
- Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of the plant site and corporation
- Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
This position is safety-sensitive.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of construction experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Prolonged periods standing and working outside
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
- Local to the Memphis metro area
Preferred Requirements:
- Bilingual
- OSHA 30 certification
