Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and driving a class B tanker ( Industrial Vacuum Truck), inside the plant to and from the onsite landfill. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of trucks, including tankers and dump trucks.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive Class B Tanker.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of material.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks including tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Strong attention to detail for conducting vehicle inspections and maintaining logs.
- Good communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and customers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.
