Senior Project Engineer
Performance Contracting Inc. (Malta, NY) seeks Senior Project Engineer to Create & implement job schedules, coordinate w / field supervisors & foremen, & effectively communicate issues to negotiate optimal position for our trade in the work sequence. Create & manage punch lists & job closeout documentation. Actively participate in safety plans & measures of branch & assigned projects. Understand & follow all PCI guidelines related to corporate safety program. Understand & be accountable for quality control measures outlined in QA / QC program for assigned projects. Prepare RFI’s, submittals, & shop drawings. Understand building systems & how they relate to building process. Understand how to navigate & coordinate activities to maximize productivity & efficiency. Perform quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, & price change orders. Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup & maintenance; using tools to make adjustments as necessary to maximize profits.
Coordinate warranties & O&M’s. Assist in selecting vendors & coordinate materials & equipment. Assist in buyout of subcontractors, issue contracts, & proactively sequence & manage subcontractor’s work including billings & change orders. Complete & be accountable for job cost control measures through monthly financial analysis worksheets (FAW’s) on assigned projects. Support branch through positive customer relations & active participation in customer alignment plan. REQS : Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or related field 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or related occupation in the construction industry. 20% domestic travel required. 100% telecommuting permitted. $114,920 / yr.
