To support the continued growth of our business, PDG is hiring a Financial Analyst. This is a full-time remote role which may require some travel for PDG team meetings and training as needed. Position Summary
The Financial Analyst is responsible for:
- Daily accounting functions including all entries and output related to our accounting systems
- Accounts payable and receivables
- Processing of semimonthly payroll
- Assisting in the preparation of year-end reports
- Financial tracking, reporting, and analysis
Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst will:
- Generate financial reports including P&L, departmental budgets, sales & invoicing
- Provide financial analysis associated with business performance
- Create, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
- Assist in the Budget process
- Reconcile all bank accounts
- Track A/R and follow up with clients, as necessary
- Process A/P for all contractor invoices utilizing the PDG Time and Expense Reporting system
- Close A/P on a monthly basis; review, correct, and distribute reports
- Enter debits/credits, resolve billing/payment discrepancies, and work with Sales to ensure correct and timely invoicing
- Review, process, and distribute A/P check requests
- Accounting system administration and support
- Filing and e-filing of all related paperwork
- Prepare and distribute contractor 1099 and other tax-related forms
- Audit employee expenses to ensure compliance with corporate policy
- Prepare payroll, 401(k), sales commissions and bonus projections
- Calculate, transmit, and review all funds and data pertaining to 401(k) processing
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements
Education and Professional Experience
The Financial Analyst has:
- BS in Accounting, related field, or commensurate work experience
- 1-3 years of previous payroll and accounting-related experience required
- 2 years experience processing payroll on the ADP platform
General Knowledge and Skills
The Financial Analyst can:
- Demonstrate proficiency with accounting software packages, experience with Intacct is a plus
- Demonstrate strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Possess a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft SharePoint
- Explain, discuss, and apply various local, state, and federal government rules and regulations
- Maintain strict confidentiality and effective working relationships with employees, clients, and vendors
- Identify, report, and solve problems
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain a high level of detail and organization
- Exhibit strong project and time management skills
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Work effectively as a team player
